I just wanted to let you know that I am better able to handle phone calls and visitors now that I am taking less oxycodone during the day time hours.
That said, my parents are on their way to Boulder from DIA as we speak so the next four days I am going to be spending time primarily with them, until they go back to Massachusetts on Sunday.
It would be nice to see my Boulderite friends and co-workers soon and for my parents to see my support group in action. :) Let's try to set up some visits over the next few days if possible. In other words, don't hesitate to call and leave a message if I can't answer.
Otherwise, aside for a couple doctor's appointments next Tuesday and Wednesday, it looks like I am pretty open for home visits next week.
Alon and I will chat and see what kind of help we could benefit from (examples: coming over to make me breakfast or lunch - extremely simple, bland meals; grocery shopping; taking me for walks).
ALSO - GOOD NEWS... I am getting a spiffy wheel chair delivered to my house in the next 3 hours, so peeps can take me for a spin around my neighborhood :-)

Stay in touch... and I'll be in touch too. Thank you so much for all the support thus far.

New wheels! Sick. That will be so useful eventually. It's so good at reaching out for help and at the same time taking charge of your own healing process. That's being a good patient and an awesome Erin-Advocate. :)
ReplyDeleteYes. The sleek, black wheel chair has arrived...
